Hi Guys,
How many servers required for the below config. CISCO IP Telephony Deployment? 1) 1000 Extension - (500 Analog Phones; 500 Ip Phones) 2) Voice Mail for all 1000 extensions 3) Music On Hold? 4) Is there any mobility feature in CISCO to take care of the Front End Sales Force? With regards HI All, I heard that for CISCO IP Telephony Deployment, for every 100 Extensions you need a server. Is it so? Can anybody repsond to this[/quote] |

Re: CISCO IP telephony - Server requirement
As with all manufacturers there is a threshold at which you must increase the capacity of the server, or the quantity of servers, but with Cisco Call Manager it is certainly not 100 stations. Cisco CME is the router based platform and can support users into the hundreds on its own, without a "server". The last implementation I was involved with supported 380+ telephones. Two serves were used, but the second was for redundancy, not to increase capacity.
