IP Softphone

We have a G3 R10 and IP Softphone 4.1 (trying out 5.2). My company wants to get rid of VPN and go to strictly Terminal Services. We have 30 officers that we are getting totally setup with laptops, wireless internet, and IPSoftphone.

We have a problem with running IPSoftphone on TS. I got past a dll issue by using 5.2 but we are now stuck at getting each users info into IPSoftphone. We can probably figure it out, there may be workarounds, but as our TS guy says, it may take a lot of time, testing and research and in the end not have a solution. My Avaya rep has stated that he has customers that use it on Citrix but, that doesn't mean it will work on TS.

I am waiting for response from Avaya sales rep on whether he can get someone with expertise in this area and whether the VPN device that IP Hardphones use would be able to support IPSoftphone. That would be acceptable to my company. They just do not want to support VPN for the laptops and home PCs.
