Caller ID being misrepresented

We have a Cisco Call manager with a PRI out to our local carrier
We have it configured to present the callers number or our main switchboard ine dependingon the extension.
This, in general has been working fine for a couple of years.
We have a situation where our Caller ID is being represented at certain locations (My CEOs home for example) as the callers number from our office but with our old company name.
There is a transition between local voce carrier in this path and I wondered if it may be possible for the recieving carrier to be performing a look up on the number that they recieve, and then presenting that result to the called party.

We are verifying the config of our switch, config of the PRI but my feeling is that the problem lies elsewhere

Any help would be appreciated.

Best Andy J

Re: Caller ID being misrepresented

I ran into this same situation some time back. Found the carrier is responsible for the full ani information. They look up the number and do the name association. The carrier that owns the destination number is responsible. If you get different results with different destination numbers/carriers, then it's probable the carrier making the final delivery.

Is your PRI ISDN? If so, look at the trunk configuration. I have no experience with Cisco PBX but an s8700 ISDN trunk has settings for 'send name' and 'send number'.
