Enhanced feature set includes: - Caller ID to Analog Devices - PARTNER Messaging R7 - Unified Messaging Support (VM to E-Mail) on Win XP Pro - Name and Extension Display on telephones - Hot Keypad Dialing - Message Alert Notification - Network Clock Synchronization - Built-in SMDI - Absent Text Messaging with Inspect - Distinctive Station Ringing - R6 / R7 to R8 Translation Conversion - Remote Software Upgrade support - Updated PC ADministration Software And... Phone Dude - you are correct (and thanks for attending the webinar).
The R8 Upgrade will be via a PCMCIA card (just like the ACS R6 upgrade card has always been). This card is a 1-time use card, that will take an ACS R7 to the new ACS R8 version. After the upgrade, the PCMCIA card becomes a backup / restore card. Ron Rogers PARTNER ACS Product Manager |
