Re: Partner acs r8

There is a roadmap for the PARTNER ACS. It's still being finalized. But rest assured; PARTNER will continue and the next generation of PARTNER will be available in early 2010.......

Ron,

How will the software upgrade from an R.7 to R.8 work? Can you give any details? Also, how will the upgrade be obtained?

Thanks

Re: Partner acs r8

From the Webinar a few weeks a go, as I understand it, there will be a pcmcia card that will be inserted into the R7 proc, and it will flash the firmware up to the R8.

It will be a one time use card, though.....

Re: Partner acs r8

Phone Dude - you are correct (and thanks for attending the webinar).

The R8 Upgrade will be via a PCMCIA card (just like the ACS R6 upgrade card has always been). This card is a 1-time use card, that will take an ACS R7 to the new ACS R8 version. After the upgrade, the PCMCIA card becomes a backup / restore card.
