Memory "Battery" Replacement on Parner II Processors
Anyone know if there is a way to replace the memory battery on the Partner II Processors? I have several and the program is lost on power loss... the original spec called for memory to be retained for 96 hours....
i know its a long shot... but figured this would be the place to ask |

Yes, if you can find the battery. It is a watch battery type thing soldered to the pc board....there will not be any documentation from Avaya anywhere, as they want you to just buy new.

It is 3.6 volts, but you can use a pack with more mAh than the original. If you have soldering skills, you can easily swap in a battery pack designed for a cordless phone, just soldering the + and - leads to the board where the old battery comes off.

the hardest part is taking the old shell apart without braking off all th eclips that will hold it back together, these systems are older then 10 years and so the plastic gets a bit briddle, but once open you can easiely do it.
