I have a customer with a Partner ACS 3.0. Supposedly it called 911 5 times yesterday 4-20-2008. The only place I can find the digits 911 in the system is in the emergency # list. I deleted 911 from the list just for a shot in the dark. Noone has it in their personal speed dial list, and it's not in the system speed dial list. Also they do not have a security system. Has anyone heard of this issue on the Partner or have any other ideas? Thanks!

Re: Partner System 911 issue
911 is in the emergency list only so if you restrict an extension, it can still call 911 (although there are certain restrictions that can eliminate even that!)
If it is a phone on the Partner system, you can connect a PC to the SMDR port, and capture real time call information. Run Hyperterminal, and you can save it and look at it later. The SMDR port is a SERIAL port, you'll need a regular Cat-5 patch cord, an Avaya 355-A (or 355-AF) adapter, and probably a 25 to 9 pin serial port adapter. Of course, you'll also need a computer with a serial port. |
