Backdoor suddenly stopped working! Help
Hello! I am the new System Admin on my non-profit company's Partner II system. Last week I used the "not so secret anymore becaue it is all over the web" serial number as password reset feature (note I am nto giving more info than that because some people feel these backdoor proceses should nto be posted) to reset my Admin System Password with no problem.
This week a fellow employee who did not know I changed the password locked us out of the Admin Mailbox by mistake, I used the "not so secret serial number as password" process again with no problem and reset the password again. 1/2 hour later I started to log on to the Admin Mailbox and it told me that I was locked out and that I had to "contact my dealer." (Avaya has not been able to log in via the remote unit nor has the local tech.) This is an OLD system, we are a Non-Profit aka: can not under any circumstances afford a new system, and I don't understand why the reset worked literally 30 minutes before.
