Fried Partner
We have had some power fluxuation for the last week or so due to construction in the area and now it appears our Partner 2 v4.1 system is no longer picking up. My fear is that it is fried but I don't know how to tell. The vendor we purchsed the unit from just wants to sell us a new one without even looking to see what might be wrong.
Any suggestions besides looking for a new vendor? |

Re: Fried Partner
Well, can you be a little more specific when you say that it's " is no longer picking up."?
Probable cause is loss of programming when the power went out, due to a dead nicad battery in the processor. If you're handy with a soldering iron, you can change it out, and then reprogram the system. If nothing else, you may be able to reprogram to get the system running until you decide what to do. |
