Partner Mail VS 5 Not Answering Calls

Any suggestions on why my partner mail vs 5 will not answer any calls. It has in the past.It should answer calls on the fourth ring and we have a night button. The system is working otherwise.
Thanks.

Re: Partner Mail VS 5 Not Answering Calls

Does voice mail answer when you dial Intercom 777? Every time, on the first ring?

If so, check settings for "CallDistGrp". #206-7-NN-1, where NN is the line number.

#506-NN-M-X is the number of rings before the auto attendant picks up, where NN is the line, M is the Mode, and X is the number of rings.

#507-NN-X specifies if the line is answered Day Only, Night Only, or Always.

If you have a Partner Plus, Partner II, or ACS R1 or 2, the program codes are the same, but not as flexible (such as only immediate or delayed answer, not a specific number or rings.)

Re: Partner Mail VS 5 Not Answering Calls

Thanks for replying. First we had purchased a partner plus 4.1 then the partner mail vs voice messaging system release 5.
I never had trouble until now. When I called for tech help they told me that it sounds like the systems is fine but its problem is somewhere in 10 different areas of the programming. I don't know how that got changed but anyways. We have four lines all of which should be answered the the automated attendent after four rings if the receptionist does not answer a call. We also have a night button for the night menu. We have about 5 voice mail boxes (personal) that are active but none that are assigned directly to a specific outside line. So basically in all the automated attendent answers after 4 rings - gives the main message then if the person calling chooses to leave a message for a certain someone dials that extension to leave their message there. Simple but not simple enough.
#206 is Group Call Distrib 1 L01 =1 assigned this goes thru L04
#506 VMS Hunt Delay = 1 Immediate
#507 VMS Hunt Schedule = 3 Night Only
and whatever the # for rings are is set to 4 rings
If I do Intercom 777 it brings me to the voice mail vs (I can either go into my mail box or the programing)
And the main message is there. I'm thinking its a data thing????
Thanks.

Re: Partner Mail VS 5 Not Answering Calls

Do you keep the system in night ring? Does the system never answer or does it answer in night ring?
It seems to me that the system should be set to answer "always" (instead of night only), and the VMS hunt delay to "delayed" (instead of immediate). That way it always answers after 4 rings, and when the night button is pressed, the night menu plays. I'm not the Partner expert, and not particularly fond of them, but I have done a few and I think I'm on the right track.
