I have someone hooking up a TiVo in a residence that has a Partner Phone System. The TiVo requires an analog line for the initial installation. Does the Partner phones run off a standard analog line? Would I be able to unplug an existing phone run a 50' line cord from the jack, plug into the TiVo, let it do it's thing (dial out) and then unplug it and put the phone back?
Thanks in advance for the assistance. |

Re: Analog Line on Partner
The Partner phones are a hybrid, part analog for the voice function, digital for the buttons and displays. So, Yes, you could run the TiVo to the jack that the Partner phone plugs into for your initial installation, or even plug it into the AUX jack on the bottom of the phone.
