Partner Ii R4.1
Partner II loses memory after losing power. Is it worth the trouble to crack it open and try to fix (if so how?) or do I send it out for repair. I already upgraded the customer to ACS R6.0 and took the old equipment. Looking to repair and use for training.

Re: Partner Ii R4.1
This is a common issue with older Partner systems. There is a battery soldered onto the main board. If you're able, you can replace and life will be good. Requires soldering skill (the existing is thru-pin, not surface mount) and the correct replacement battery. Or have a local electronics firm do the replacement - or send for repair. If you're using for training, another option is to just live with it... part of the training can be reprogramming every time you use it.
Good luck! Mike |
