I've been given the responsibility of a Partner system of an executives house (oh boy, lucky me). I viewed the little switchroom where I see the Partner system on the wall with 3 cards.. There are 3 ports toward the top of the card that get wired into some lightning protection and then up to a 66 block.
The extension ports are what is getting me confused. Some ports have a cat5 cable coming out over to a patch panel (which would make sense) and then some that are going over to the same 66 block. Why would that be the case? |

I would suspect a doorphone or two are connected through the 66 block, but you just never know. Try to locate the extension number in question. The extensions are numbered from the top down, the processor card (in the center slot) has extensions 10-17, then start counting from the leftmost card. Cephas |
