telco out pulse change
We have a PRI circuit for our local numbers. The telco has been out pulsing 3 digits to us. I have been using the inc-call-handling-trmt table to change the numbers to a 4 digit extension. We are moving some more numbers to that trunk and due to overlapping of the last 3 digits, I have had the telco out pulse the 7 digit number. They said that they have completed the order and have gone back at my request to verify that it was indeed completed. However, I am still seeing only 3 digits when I do a trace on the tac. The circuit terminates on a TN464 card and we have an Avaya S8500 switch running CM4. Before I had the change made, I added the 7 digit number in the table. After we were supposed to be getting 7, I deleted the 3 digit entry and the call is not routed according to the 7 digit entry.
Is there something that I need to configure on the Avaya side to look for 7 digits on an incoming call? Here’s a sample trace: 16:07:04 Calling party trunk-group 6 member 1 cid 0x389d 16:07:04 Calling Number & Name xxxxxxxxxx NO-CPName 16:07:04 active trunk-group 6 member 1 cid 0x389d 16:07:04 dial 728# 16:07:04 term trunk-group 6 cid 0x389d 16:07:04 term attendant-group 1 cid 0x389d 16:07:04 dial 0 16:07:04 ring attendant-group 1 cid 0x389d 16:07:07 active attendant 3105 cid 0x389d |

Re: telco out pulse change
If the trace on the TAC does not show 7 digits, then you are not getting 7 digits. This is incoming data before it gets to the PBX.
Once you are getting 7 digits you need to update your dialplan, vectors, VDNs, announcements, stations, etc to reflect this.

Re: telco out pulse change
ok, thanks for the reply. I just wasn't sure where to start. The telco states that they are sending 7 digits but the trace only shows 3. I wasn't sure if I had to make a change on the Avaya side to check for more digits but from what you say, the trace reads the raw data directly from the D-channel.
