Been a-long time since i've installed a 4 port line card in a norstar, can I do this with-out shutting down the system?

NO!!!!!!!

aw hell, where is the large rolling font! NO!

You must remove power from any module or ksu you are installing or removing cards from on a norstar. You will pop the card or the KSU or both.

I've installed hundreds of line cards on working systems and never blown anything yet....
