There are three types of mailboxes on the Norstar system:
PERSONAL Typically : User mailbox with an associated DN. Guest mailbox, these are generally for temporary employees or guests and these do not have an operating DN associated with them. INFORMATION They provide an Informative message to a caller. (These are like the guest mailboxes because the do not have a DN associated with them plus, the caller cannot leave a message.) SPECIAL General Delivery Mailbox : It's used to collect messages from callers who use rotary dial telephones. For individuals in your company who do not have personal mailboxes. For personal mailbox owners whose mailboxes are full. System Coordinator Mailbox : This is used by the System Coordinator as a personal mailbox. (Generally this isn't used at all but it's there!) ![]() |
