Autoattendant
i'm a newb when it comes to phone systems. patience please.
we used to have three phones answer incoming lines. administration decided to let autoattendant answer instead. so i programmed (from a phone) to have those calls not appear and not ring on those three phones. so now, after 4 rings, the autoattendant answers, the caller gets a long-winded recording saying "you have reached...if you know your party's extension..." etc. then, if the caller does nothing, the get the next recording asking them to enter [1-9] for various departments. question: how do i change that 4 ring delay to 0 or 1? my manual says "Modular ICS 4.0 System Coordinator Guide"...11-12 year old Norstar system |

Re: Autoattendant
you need to log into the voicemail system assuming its a startalk flash or the like, youll dial feature 983, enter the default password: if your using 3 digit extension nos. on your system dial 1020000 this is the default password , mailbox combinations. then youll see mbox, Aa and other, hit AA, go to table, then lines then ringing and set it to the no. your looking for. "0" in this case so that the auto attendent will come on asap. youve got a good system that does many many things hopefully you were trained to utilize this system to its fullest. good luck.
