The person that you assign to answer your telephone is your Target Attendant.
After you assign your Target Attendant, a caller who gets your mailbox can press "0" to speak with your Target Attendant. If for some reason your Target Attendant doesn't answer, the call will go to your mailbox. If your mailbox isn't available the call goes to the General Delivery Mailbox. **Remember to tell callers that if they need immediate assistance they can press "0" to talk your .....assistant or whomever. The Target Attendant can be any valid DN. The default Target Attendant is the person assigned as the Norstar Voice Mail Operator ( usually the receptionist ) Press "Feature" 9 8 1 Enter your mailbox password and press OK or "#" Press ADMIN or "8" Press "5" Press CHNG or "1" to change the Target Attendant. The Atdt ext: oper prompt indicates that the current Target Attendant (TA) is the Norstar Voice Mail Operator (NVMO) Enter the DN number of your new Target Attendant. Press OPER or "0" to change the TA back to the NVMO. The Atdt ext: XXX prompt appears, where the XXX represents the DN you entered. Press QUIT to accept the number of the TA. Press CHNG or "1" to change the Target Attendant (TA). Press the "Release" key to end the session. ![]() |
