CICS 7.0 w/CP100 questions
Hi guys,
I have 2 questions regarding our new CICS w/7.0 SW with CP100. We have one of our CCR trees on the CP100 set up as a transfer node with external transfer on line 3. When you select that option from the CCR though, you get a "routing is not set up" recording. Any ideas? It is definatly transfering out on a line that is not in use. I'm at my wits end. Second question is, can I change which ring group I am using through a feature code. My receptionist takes an hour lunch (at different times every day) away from the phones, and I would like her to be able to set a "ring all" option so everybodies phone rings when she is away. Any help you guys could give would be great. Thanks!! Dredd |

Re: CICS 7.0 w/CP100 questions
The CICS can have multiple "Service" modes. Night Service, Lunch, Day whatever you like. This defines weather the voicemail answers the lines or the lines right at one phone or many.
Check out service modes in your configuration guide, it will show you how to create the mode, add rining or non ringing lines to a particual DN and explain how the service is activated and deactivated. Most often this is used in small business where reception answers all day but turn one mode on for lunch and one mode for night. Lunch might be an alternate Admin or warehouse etc and night would go straight to the voicemail autoattendant. Going back even farther before voicemail this was used to set calls to ring in warehouses etc in off hours for shipping etc.

Re: CICS 7.0 w/CP100 questions
Ok, thanks for the info regarding the Lunch ringing service. I got it working.
Now on to the other problem. One of my nodes is an external transfer node, but whenever it is selected from the CCR tree, the CP100 replies with "The routing information configured for that call is not valid." Any ideas? |

Re: CICS 7.0 w/CP100 questions
Sorry for the delay, I cant confirm a fix on this we don't have a CP100. I work on the much larger PBX systems. I do have a CP on an option 11 PBX so I'll see if I can duplicate what you have and a fix if possible.
