Nawty End Users

Hi All,

I have a satellite location using a MICS with two DS Trunk cards. The end users are grabbing dial tone, then placing the lines on hold so that they don't have to answer incoming calls. Their managers, who are in my building, are getting complaints from patients who haven't been able to get through for days or weeks. Is there any way to either have the system drop a line once it goes high 'n' dry in the CO? I'm pretty sure there isn't a way for me to solve this short of going over with a big stick, but the boss asked for help, so here I am...

Thanks!

Thumbs up Re: Nawty End Users

Good call...now let me see if I can talk the boss into it. For whatever reason, they like to have every lijne appear on every set. Kinda defeats the purpose of the system, but I guess they're still used to the old KV sets...

THANKS!

1A2 went out in late 80's early 90's and is a obsolete programming option

Tell me about it. I try to break their old ways of thinking, but I'm the "new guy" and they tend to stick with what they're used to... I'll change them eventually!

Not at all familiar with your system, but I'll ask anyway. :D

is there way to give them the illusion that the lines still appear on the phone? eg., assume you have 5 CO lines and you point those trunks into a single hunt group. The hunt group has 5 members also, which just happen to be bridged appearances on the phones of the people taking the calls... they'd never know the difference other than not being able to go off-hook and keep the position held.
