Post What is Norstar PRELUDE & CINPHONY ACD?

First off, ACD stands for Automatic Call Distribution. The Norstar system has 3 levels of ACD systems; PRELUDE, CINPHONY 1 and CINPHONY II ( These systems range from 5 to 80 ACD Agents)

ACD performs 6 basic operations for every incoming ACD call:

*Directs Call to a Group
*Checks Routing Table
*Executes Routing Commands
*Checks Group Overflow Table
*Distributes Call to Agent
*Tracks Call Data for Reports
