CICS moving DN's
We had several people moving around our office so I thought an easy way to do it would be to move the DN's in the system programming. This works fine - except the voice mail. It still seems to be pointing to the old port numbers - ie. the message waiting light and *981 is at the old extension. I went into VM admin. and checked the extensions each mailbox is attached to and all seems fine there.
What am I missing? Thanks, Dean |

To be honest, the easiest way to approach a situation like this is to activate "set relocation", have everyone move their phones to the new locations, let the phones all come up, and then turn the set relocate feature off. The way you did it should work, but you have to make sure that the sets all update after you make the changes.

Set relocate is the best way to go, outside of running cross connects (it's only 1 pair dude!). Just make sure that you do the phones 1 at a time and shut it off when you are done, otherwise some donkey will have someone elses extension because their phone was nicer. :D
