problems hooking up 2nd pri

Any tricks to hooking up 2nd pri on Norstar - MIC's 6.1 - 2nd pri shows inservice - central office has 2 d channels built and are saying they see my call hit the 2nd D channel but try to grap the 23 trunk on the 1st PRI. do i need a backup D channel.

Can you be more clear on the problem you're having? Is the problem with outgoing calls? Have you added the channels from the 2nd PRI to the pool?

Found the problem - since it was a fractional PRI i had to disable the channels that i was not using - in this case channels 16 to 23 -
IN Maintenance
Show System Version
Press next until display shows Link status
Show Cards on KSU
Show Cd1-KSU:PRI
Needed to go to next for Cd2-KSU:PRI
Show B channel
Show PRI:B01 Idle
Next to B16 and disable all the way to B23
