Still planning to get a CICS and Call Pilot 100 to replace an existing Vodavi Starplus system for a 6 person insurance agency. I've got a few pre-purchase questions. During the day, we'll have an auto-attendant to route calls, as well as night. Is it possible to have a sublevel just for IT? eg. Press 1 for global network outages, press 2 for password resets, etc.? Also, the system will have 8 T-7316 phones. When a user has new voicemail, will the LCD display something like "new messages"? Or, does the user have to hit a feature code? Preferrably, the new voicemail notification would just show up instead of the user having to punch in a feature code to see if he/she has any new messages. Finally, what kind of internal wiring is needed. The old Vodavi system uses 4-conductor wires with RJ-11 conductors to connect to the phones. Will the office need to be rewired for the new nortel system? All CO Lines are analog. Thanks in advance.

Re: A few pre-purchase questions
Yes, it is possible to have a sub-menu. Yes, the system will indicate that you have a new message on the set.
Norstar systems use 1-pair wiring. You won't need new wiring. Good Luck! |
