Question How do I set up the Remote Access for the Merlin?

Hello,
I need help in setting my Merlin Magix for remote access. I have a DID ready to go, I just don't know how to configure the system. If some one can give me step by step instructions on how to do this. Thank you. The DID is not coming via T-1. I have a DID card on the system, 16 ports.

Access system programming. Sysrenumber, single, remote access. Change the remote access number from 889 to whatever you need so it matches your DID. If you're not using DISA for anything but remote programming, I usually then turn of the barrier codes and outward restrict all non-tie DISA, as this keeps the dialin process simple.

From there, setup your dial string in WinSPM to be the DID number, several pauses (type about 6 commas), any barrier code required, and *10.

You can also access the system remotely via the voicemail. You can set it up by dialing *7**10

Smithermang!!!!! You da man! In all the years I've been doing this I'd always been told that Avaya intentionally made it impossible to connect to the PBX via MLM and MM. How did you learn about this? This will make my remote system support life MUCH easier :)

Are you sure it works on the Merlin Mail? I know it works on Magix Messaging, but I have tried it on the MM and 007 with no luck.

No it does not work on 007MLM or audix. I know too good to be true.

The original question was with a Magix system. I haven't seen a Magix with MLM. Most Magixs we deal with have Merlin Messaging on them. As far as the Audix, I do not think highly of them. I prefer the Octel 200.
