Multiple Auto Attendants for all inbound lines?

Hi.
I have a Merlin Mail system running a single auto-attendant for all inbound lines, using the business schedule. I am pretty familiar with the system and have mountains of manuals I have read through, but I am still at a lost and I am hoping someone can make a good suggestion.
The current daytime setting is 7am until 5pm, and night takes over from there until 7am the next morning. I now am trying to find a way to have a second auto-attendant answer all inbound lines from 12am until 7am, basically to give a different recording with 3 options which differs from the normal night message.
I am going to see if I can just program the second attendant to answer at daytime setting from 12am until 7am, but I have a feeling this won't work the way I am hoping. If there was a way to program AA1 to night time ending at 11.59pm I would think it could work, but I have not found anything to allow me to do that.
Also I need to add that we need this to be automated without any manual involvement, which is why I am not considering the Legend mode.
Any Suggestions?

Re: Multiple Auto Attendants for all inbound lines?

I am a little confused. The way the question is worded, you want to create a second AA to answer all lines....but AA1 is already doing that? So, are you splitting off lines for a different AA?

Each AA (1-3) can have its own business schedule, so yes, you should be able to do what you want.

Is this the Merlin Mail Stand a-lone vociemail unit?

Re: Multiple Auto Attendants for all inbound lines?

Hi Phone Dude. I am not splitting the lines. I need the main phone line here answered 24hrs, but with 3 different recordings. I can't tell AA1 to stop the night call handling at a specific time, only the open and close of bussiness. So if I tell AA2 the open of business is 12AM and close at 7am, will it over-ride the night handling of AA1 on the same lines?
Voice mail is stand alone model 007 MLM.

Thanks.

Re: Multiple Auto Attendants for all inbound lines?

Nope, that wont work. WHen you set multiple Attendants, you have to assign lines to them. By default, all lines that go to voicemail, go to AA1. If you want multiple, you need to remove from A1, and add to AA2 (or AA3), Thus, removing them from AA1 will stop them from being answered by AA1.

Sorry. The Voicemail on The newer systems could do it (IP Office Voicemail Pro) but not on this legacy vociemail.

Is there some way to assign all lines to 2 different groups, give each group a coverage time, and assign AA1 and AA2 to each group?
I have been combing the PBX manuals but not hits so far.

Re: Multiple Auto Attendants for all inbound lines?

Are you looking for 2 different menus, one for day and one for night?

Other than that, that is it. Each AA, has day and night. You can not have lines in both AA's, only one.

I am or were at this point, looking for 3 menus for 1 main line. Grasping at straws with the group coverage and timers, but I want to exhaust all avenues before I say it cannot be done with our current equipment. I appreciate the input.

Re: Multiple Auto Attendants for all inbound lines?

If all lines ring AA1, can you play a menu and filter down to sub-menus? Or does it have to be a time based flow?

Sub-menus are abundant in Merlin Mail.

Re: Multiple Auto Attendants for all inbound lines?

My plan B is to propose rewording of the night menu and reprogram AA1 night menu to encompass the 3rd menu they are wanting. They were really wanting 2 different greetings at certain hours of the night, but I do not see where that is possible with our current setup.
I do have several sub-menus active for the daytime calling so I am real familiar with the basics and even some advance functions with the system. I was wanting to see if there is something I was not familiar with or some "trick" someone might know with this system.
