Flakey SysAcc buttons on an MLX-20L

I have a customer who has a Merlin Legend 5.0 v10.0 system. On a 408 mlx/gs/ls module there is an MLX-20L connected on extension 104. Someone tried dialing "253" on this extension twice, each time "locking up" a SysAcc button. The button will now only flash on and off slowly and is not able to be accessed. I have busied/released the port as well as the slot.
I advised the customer to power cycle the system. Does anyone have any idea why this may have happened? The customer says this is a backup console although I do not see it listed as an operator. (This may be how its done, I'm still a novice). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What is this "253" that they are dialing? Is it another extension on the local switch?

Re: Flakey SysAcc buttons on an MLX-20L

Is it only the one SA button that cannot be accessed, or is the whole phone out of commision after dialing 253?

If the second - check for a sticky 2, or 5, or 3 key...
