I have been working on an Intuity/audix/ merlin legend... system for a couple of days trying to get the mwi lights to function properly. The system crashed late last week and i brought it back minus 1 module. (#10 out of 10.) it only have 4 active extensions on this bad module so I just moved those extensions to unused ports on the other 9 modules. But ever since then All the phones that had their message lights on when the system crashed have stayed on and all the phone that had the lights off have stayed off. Can anyone give me a clue on how to fix this problem? I can't seem to get any answers anywhere else. Thanks again.

I've had this happen before and there are three solutions I found. One was a simple reboot of the switch. You may also have to delete and recreate the mailboxes on your voicemail computer. The third, and simplest solution when you only have a few extensions with the message lights stuck on, is to call each extension, leave a voicemail message and then go into the voicemail of the extension and delete all messages. Sometimes the system sees a "phantom" message and the only way to get rid of it is to leave an actualy message and then delete them all.

Also. if you are using MLX phones with a small screen, select menu, messages, delete messages.
