"click-click" noise on outbound PRI calls?
I have a customer who has a Merlin Legend that connects to our PRI... They're running NI2 switch-type and ISDN plan, when they go to make an outbound call...on their end they hear a "click-click" on the phone set. This is prior to me even receiving the q931 setup message, on every outbound call on the PRI. Sounds like a "switching" type noise...but there's nothing happening on our end, we haven't even received the setup message. I'm not sure if this is ARS or what it is... Anyone experieced or run across this before?
Thanks a lot in advance, -Dave Last edited by dsmith74; January 18th, 2005 at 03:19 PM. Reason: changing title |

Re: Double click on outbound PRI calls?
I haven't run into this particular problem, however, Avaya recommends that the PRI protocol be set as "custom", not NI2. While I've been able to get some PRI ciruits to work as NI2 on a Legend, the performance has been spotty. Even changing to NI1 might be an improvement over NI2.
