I have looked thru the system programming manuals but I don't see a listing of the codes that display on the processor panel. One system I have in the field displays an "F" everytime it is powered up and then defaults to basic 2 digit extension programming. We just installed a UPS for them but would like to know what the display can tell us other than what looks like a FAILURE with the "F". Does anyone have a list of the codes one could see ? thanks.

Re: Error Status Display on Processor R7
F is Full Default, resetting to factory defaults. You probably have a bad memory capacitor, or it is not strapped to "on"
C is cold start, normal when restarting. Programming has been retained. This is what you should be seeing. |

thanks for the reply TTT. Your confirmation helps allot. I received a note from another tech that he felt it was the memory capacitor. He did not think it could be repaired.
If it is a bad memory capacitor do you know if this is repairable or do we have to replace the Processor card ? It is a R7 v11 cke5 processor. I know I could pull out a capacitor and replace it on an old radio but I would think these are multi layer boards and would take some skill to fix them properly. If it is repairable know anyone out there who does it right ? Did you ever see a list of codes anywhere in Legend documentation ? Thanks again. Fcstech |
