Merlin 820d

I have a customer who has a Merlin 820D and while talking it automatically decides to put you on hold so you hear the on hold message, it then releases and lets you continue talking. Sometimes it does this right after you start your conversation, other times after a couple of minutes of talking. I was thinking that it was the processor board causing this because it does it on all incoming lines. I have an 820D in our warehouse - can I just replace the old KSU with this one and use their line cards and extension cards? Also will I have to reprogram the unit - I have never worked on the older Merlins.

Thanks,
Kim Myers

Re: Merlin 820d

yes you can swap it usually theres not much programming on those anyway. use the old feature module from the top( w/ the page port and BB port) and put it in the new one. good luck.
