Post Legend Paging Problem

Here is the situation:
Users call an extension from an analog phone. They get the users voicemail. They then switchhook flash to page the person to call them. What happens next is the voicemail system is conferenced over the paging system.
Does anyone have a solution other than telling the user to wait a few seconds before paging. Thanks!

They probably are doing it too soon. I thought you had to press * then switch-hook to conference, but stranger things have happened.

Have them press "**9" to force the Voice Mail to disconnect before flashing and paging. Better yet, make them HANG UP, and WAIT before going off hook and dialing the paging code.

Will **9 work if the customer does not have Merlin Messaging?

**9 will not work on some Voicemail systems, like Amanda on Legend or VoiceGate or Active Voice.
