Auto attendant with PRI lines

i want calls to them main number to receive auto attendant service. this is just one of the 100 did's i have in a pri circuit. how does the system know to only send calls for a certain extension to the auto attendant in this case? the calls won't be coming in on the same trunk all the time. does that extension have to be forwarded to the voicemail system or something along those lines?

Yes you would configure a station/adjunct port to forward to voicemail and then set it up for an AA. This would have to be the LDN DID.

Re: Auto attendant with PRI lines

so you can setup an individual extension to be an attendant, within the voicemail itself? is there a special key sequence to get there? i don't see it in the flowchart in the manual.

thanks, tim

You can have any extension point to an AA. When you create a mailbox, instead of just pressing 1 stop and listen to your other choices. It's quite straightforward. If the extension you want to use already has a normal mailbox, you'll have to delete it first.

Re: Auto attendant with PRI lines

actually, in this system, i discovered mailboxes are pointed to attendants by using COS's 15,16, and 17. assign cos 15 to a mailbox to have it go to attendant 1, cos 16 to a mailbox to have it go to attandant 2, etc.

thanks, tim

Ah yes, good old Merlin Legend Mail. Sorry, assumed you were using a Merlin Messaging.
