calls from night service going to voicemail
i have a magix 1.5 v6.0 that has one co line that rings over the whole building when night service is on. this is their backline, a line that people can get through on even when the office has main number calls sent to the answering service. after 4 rings, for some reason it goes to the voicemailbox of ext 1126. it is not supposed to do that. that line is not assigned to that ext. in anyway that i can find. it only rings on exts. 1121 and 1122 when not in night mode. any ideas?
thanks, tim |

Re: calls from night service going to voicemail
Is Ext. 1126 perhaps the lowest logical ID that is also in the Voice Mail coverage group that is receiving Night Ring?
If so, try adding the line to an unused adjunct, and making that adjunct extension the Principal User of the line. Since it doesn't have voice mail coverage, the line won't cover to VM. |

Re: calls from night service going to voicemail
actually, yes i did check both of those. it is logical id 6 and it is not the pricipal user of the line. i will try assigning another unused adjunct/extension as the principal and see what happens.
thanks, tim |

Re: calls from night service going to voicemail
i was mistaken on the part about 1126 being the first logical id with voicemail coverage, it was. i added another ext. to voicemail coverage last friday and it's logical id was before 1126. now calls with night service on go to that extensions. i tried assigning pricipal user to an adjunct but it wouldn't even take that. i guess i should try making the principal user a station without any voicemail coverage?

Re: calls from night service going to voicemail
If this line is in a pool, you will not be able to assign it to an extension as a principal user. Instead, put it in an unused calling group with no members. If can still be sent to extensions via night service, but should not cover to voice mail.
