Post No clocking on PRI loop

My first time posting. Was wondering if anyone here has come across the following problem. Our megalink is down right now with Alarm Status "waiting"

The D channel is disabled and I think it's because the clocking is not right. It is "free running" and I believe should be clocking from loop 2

Would anyone be able to view the output below and determine a course of action for activating the clock.

Any effor would be much appreciated.

Jason

Jason,

Clocking looks O.K., The first problem I see is the alarm status should read (no alarm) or Red alarm which means the switch does not see the T-1. I would recommend you check T-1 circiut or put a loop back on the csu until the alarm status reads no alarm. That will most likely clear other problems.
Let me know

Thanks very much, however all is OK now. I ended up calling Telus and they determined our dual line PRI card was blown. After reaplacement it responded right away to the enabling of loop 2 and that was that, back in business. What upset us was the cost $7000.00 for the card which we had to pay being on time and material -- having terminated our service contract only a couple months previously after years of paying the fees.

thanks again.

In the future you may want to check out some companies for refurbished parts. i have had great success with some of these parts. I recently bought some cards for $60. which our vendor wanted $1267.00 for the same card. Or have found a hard drive for the Meridian Mail system for $200 that our vendor wanted over $2,000 for. Let me know if you want some contacts for the future.

Re: No clocking on PRI loop

Jason

It sounds like the solution to the problem is in hand. However I would be concerned about the message:

SYSTEM CLOCK - DTI061

It may be that you were getting it due to bad signal from your dual loop PRI card to the clock controller due to the bad dual loop PRI card or you still may have a problem with your clock controller card. I don't know if you are using a QPC471 clock control card. If you are I find that sometimes disabling and reseating the card then re-enabling clears the problem. Also check your cables from the faceplate of the PRI card to the 471 pack.
