Post Change multiple phones

Hi All,

I have several Option 11s and need to change a button on 400 2616 phones.
Specifically, I am removing the ADL 16 from key 14 because users are storing their auth code on the phone...

Is there are better way to do this?
If not, are there any tricks for changing lots of phones?

thanks!

Re: Change multiple phones

You have about 3 options that I can think of...

MAT / OTM / TM3 - You can do a global update with any of those applications to all the phones you wish to change and then transmit the change to the system.

Script - You can write a little script in your favorite terminal program that will automate the repetition of such a change.

One by One - and the old reliable method....

Re: Change multiple phones

Another option is to use a script if you have Procomm.

Another option if your PBX is connected to the LAN, is to use a program called ZOC from EmTec - Terminal Emulator, Telnet and Secure Shell (SSH/SSH2) Client and Comm. Software for Windows

ZOC will allow you to connect to the PBX using the Rlogin protocol and run a script. They are very fast and you can touch all 400 phones in about 20-30 minutes (If not faster).

Isn't that what I already said? I prefer SecureCRT or putty. My perl scripts that read from a database work great.
