option 81c, hanging up on bit transition
Hello,
I have a software application that uses a dialogic d/240jct-t1 board connecting to a meridian 1 option 81c switch. I have been talking with the management of the switch and was finally able to get dnis down to my application by changing different parameters in the dialogic config file, the only problem I am having now is when my application hangs up the channel on the t1 the phone switch doesnt hang up and the application is sitting there with the channel tied up, but when the user hangs up the phone the call is disconnected cleanly. I am using a program called bitset from dialogic that shows me what is being sent for the abc and d bits and during the call a and b are showing on or 1s on both what the switch is sending me and what im sendning the switch. when the application hangs up the call i see that what im sending the switch switches to zeros or off and the switch is still sending me 1s, but when the end user of a phone calling in hangs up the switch goes to 0s and then so does what im sending the switch and the call is disconnected clean. the problem is that the site is telling me i need to give it a wink on a and b to disconnect, i can not find a way in the dialogic config file to send a wink on disconnect. most of our sites that have this set up have it so the phone switch simply disconnects when it sees a bit transition on a and b from 1s to zeros. My main question is, is there a way to configure the meridian to hang up the call when it sees a bit transition from 1s to 0s on the a and b bits? Last edited by mh613; May 1st, 2008 at 07:31 AM. |

Re: option 81c, hanging up on bit transition
Figured this out, its not a wink they are looking for for my end to disconnect, it is in fact a bit state transition. Would have saved me half a weeks work if they had said that instead of a wink lol.

Re: option 81c, hanging up on bit transition
Another question I had come up is what is the section in the route data block with the prompt "CLS"? anyone know where I can find information about the options there? Ive got some things like CTD DIP WTA LPR and others. I cant seem to find definitions in the pdf files that I've found on the internet.

Re: option 81c, hanging up on bit transition
"CLS" should be "Class of Service".
"CTD" is "Conditionally Toll Denied". (Default) Sorry, but those are the only ones I know of the top of my head. If you are in LD 16 -RTB,ATM I have the Nortel Books that list most of the options you might need to know. The books are the only training I have had :( until the company I work for decides to pay for some. Most of the info from the books is on one of the nortel websites but the PDF you always need is hard to find. I'll try to post some info later for the other options you have listed. |
