Telecom Billing System not updating calls

(If it is not one thing it is another)

I use the Avotus Telecom Billing System and since Jan 4th 08 there have been no phone calls added to the Call Database. Usually the TBS run a job (CDR Collection) that is scheduled and obtains all the information from the PBX on what extensions made what calls with what authorization code. But the job has been running but no records are being updated. I forced it to run this morning and it still did not add any records of phone calls. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Telecom Billing System not updating calls

There was a problem with data buffering and access. It has been running fine guess it went through a glitch. :(

It shouldn't take a month to discover you are not collecting / processing calls. The Call Accounting system I use has a No Calls Activity Alarm that can Email anyone if there are no calls processed in X number of minutes / hours.

I cannot tell by your reply if you are trying to be helpful or just point out the fact that your software is better than what I use. If you are trying to help, then post what type of software you are using and some info about your PBX that way I can look into the product. I would love to have something that used SNMP to make my life easier. If you are just trying to be a jack about the whole thing, and not trying to help those that are new, stop scanning the three month old posts and join a new forum.
