Seperated Music On Hold
We have an Option 81C PBX equipped with music broadcast and we have a department in this PBX who wants to play music and annoucements to their callers who are placed on hold. Other departments in the same PBX want their callers to hear a different music/annoucement source, when they are placed on hold. All of these customers share the same DID T-1 trunks. This is NOT a call center environment, nor are ACD's or CDN's a part of the configuration.
Is anybody currently doing this for your customers, and if so, how are you accomplishing this without creating a new customer in the pbx? |

Re: Seperated Music On Hold
I do not think you can accomplish what you are trying to do. Music is applied at the route level for the scenario you described. Since this is the case, it is an all or nothing situation. Even if you configured two customers and allowed shared access to the route I believe they all would still get the same music source as defined on the route.
