Hi Everyone. Tomorrow we need to connect two consoles 24 button to the operator phone on the Option 11C, R 25. Can you give us the steps, load etc, to get this done for the customer? Thanks

Re: Option 11C - Connecting consoles to operator phones

Hi Colin. thanks for responding. I'm pretty sure they are 2250's. I don't have a tech there and can't remember for sure what he told me, but this sounds familiar. Would it be too much trouble to give steps for both the add AOM and 2250?

Re: Option 11C - Connecting consoles to operator phones

well the 2250 is an operators console requiring a 25 pair cable back to the meridian

but an add on mod will just connect to a set with a change made in the TN

i do not have the details with me at the moment, i will try to find them..

Re: Option 11C - Connecting consoles to operator phones

Right now the two buttons are programmed for auto dial, we need to remove this feature to make them extensions. For instance, boss has two extensions, ie. 5201 and 5202. We want to program them so when the boss's extension rings, the secretary can answer her boss's extension. Does this make more sense? Thanks Colin;)

Re: Option 11C - Connecting consoles to operator phones

well lets narrow things down a bit..
does the sec want to answer ALL of the boss's calls internal & external
the 2 numbers you gave are DN's so does she just want to pick up his calls using a pickup key
can she hear his phone ring or is she someplace else..
for pickup on the sec's set
to clear the keys,
ld 11
req=chg
type=2616
tn x x x x
key x nul ( adl key )
key y nul ( adl key )

all the sets need to be in the same pickup group
change all 3 tn's to be in the same group
ld 11
req=chg
type=2616
cust x
tn x x x x
echg yes
item rnpg x e.g 10
item cls pua
key x rnp
do that to all 3

is that what you want, or something else.

Hi Colin: This sounds like what we need, but can't reach the tech to find out for sure. Will reply as soon as I can talk to him. Thanks so much. You are a real doll for helping.

Re: Option 11C - Connecting consoles to operator phones

Hi Colin: Got the answer, she wants to answer her bosses phone from her phone. So I'm pretty sure this is correct. Thanks a bunch.

Re: Option 11C - Connecting consoles to operator phones

This was not quite clear to the tech. we need to delete the function of auto dial on those two buttons.

Re: Option 11C - Connecting consoles to operator phones

to clear a key you must NUL (null) it first
ld 11
req=chg
type=2616
tn x x x x
key x nul (x = key number e.g 3)
key x nul (x = key number e.g 4)
