OPTION 11c CALL FORWARDING

HI EVERYONE. ON THE OPTION 11C SWITCH, RELEASE 25, WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO FORWARD AN INCOMING OUTSIDE CALL ON A DID TO A 7 OR 10 DIGIT NUMBER OVER A PRI ON A CALL BY CALL BASIS? WE HAVE CHECKED WITH THE CARRIER AND THEY BELIEVE THAT IT WOULD HAVE TO BE A PERMANENT THING THROUGH THEM.

Re: OPTION 11c CALL FORWARDING

Your question does not really explain what you want to accomplish so I will give a couple of explanations.

Forward all Calls:
If the incoming call is always to the same DN just program that phone to allow forwarding to an external number. This requires CLS of CFXA and the forward key programmed with enough digits to send the call to the required external number (KEY 4 CFW 12 will allow the user to forward the calls to a number with up to 12 digits note: this includes the BARS access code (8 or 9) required to place an outside call). Once the set is programmed to allow forwarding to an external number just forward the set.

Transfer the call:
When the call is answered just transfer it to the external number.

Incoming Digit Conversion:
If the incoming calls are always from the same number(s) and always need to be forwarded to the same number(s) you can use IDC in ld 49 to convert the incoming number to a different DN and then program that DN as a phantom DN with DCFW set to the external number or an ACD with NCFW set to the outside number (note: you may need to include the route access code instead of the BARS access code to make sure the calls will forward out).

If none of these options seem to be what you want post more detail of what you are trying to accomplish and I will try to find a better answer for you.

Re: OPTION 11c CALL FORWARDING

Question, if i have an ext that is programmed as a PHANT.....when you call that ext it goes to vmail, but if you select the dial by name option through (which is through the octel) it rings 4x then drops the call....does this mean that PHANT is programmed incorrectly? No one else is affected by this..

Thanks!

i am not familiar with octel but i wouild say you do not want to offer any options just go straight to the mailbox so a message can be left.

Re: OPTION 11c CALL FORWARDING

I would think the cleanest solution would be utilizing a Incoming Digit Conversion or a Phantom 500 set to redirect the call.

Take the DID number and program as a Phantom ACD que.
LD 23
New acd
acdn your did
NCFW off site access eg 9 and the number so 9xxxxxxx x=7 digit number or 10 just add area code.
