Cool To Test your Telephones and Attendant Consoles

To start:
1. Enter LD 31
2. Dial the SPRE then 92

Example is for a M2008

Lift the handset - All LCD's flash
Place Handset in Cradle - All LCD's Flash quickly
Lift Handset again - All LCD's stay lit
Place Handset in cradle again.

Press number 1 on dialpad - LCD 0 is lit
Press number 2 - LCD 1 is lit
Press number 3 - LCD 2 is lit
Press number 4 - LCD 3 is lit
Press number 5 - LCD 4 is lit
Press number 6 - LCD 5 is lit
Press number 7 - LCD 6 is lit
Press number 8 - LCD 0 and 6 lit
Press number 9 - LCD 1 and 6 lit
Press number 0 - LCD 2 and 6 lit
Press the Star key - All LCD's lit
Press the # key - All LCD's off
(If you are using this on a display phone the corresponding number will appear in the display as you press them)

Press the feature key 0 - LCD 0 lit (Display Upper case letters)
Press the feature key 1 - LCD 1 lit (Display Lower case letters)
Press the feature key 2 - LCD 2 lit (Display Clear)
Press the feature key 3 - LCD 3 lit (Display Darkens)
Press the feature key 4 - LCD 4 lit (Top line of display darkens)
Press the feature key 5 - LCD 5 lit (Turns Msg Waiting LED on)
Press the feature key 6 - LCD 6 lit (Turns Msg Waiting LED off)
Press the feature key 7 - LCD lit

Press the Hold key - LCD 0 to 4 lit
Press the Rls Key - All LCD's off (Display clear)
Off-Hook - All LCD's flash (Dial tone from handset only)
On-Hook - All LCD's fast flash (dial tone from speaker)
Off-Hook - All LCD's lit (Display darkens)
On-Hook - All LCD's off (Display clears)
Press the Hold key - LCD 0 to 4 lit
Press the Hold key again to end the test.

This same test will is used for the Attendant console but it has many other buttons and features.... If you like I can send you a print out of what to do exactly or you can find all this info in your Nortel NTP's
