CPND for a call forward
I have an issue that I can't seem to find a fix for. We have an Option 61 and use 2616 Meridian phones. I work for a fairly large company and have had a request to have the big bosses phone ring to his assistains phone. I have set up the assistants phone key 1 as the bosses line. All of that works but what I need to do is to show on the assistants phone who is calling. Whenever a call is placed to the bosses phone it shows up as his name, not the party who is calling. Any advice?
thanks |

Re: CPND for a call forward
How is the assistants key 1 programmed? Is it set up as "KEY 1 SCR 1234" or do you have the bosses line forwarding to the DN on the assistants key 1?
Check the CLS on the assistants phone. If the call is being redirected to the assistants phone then CLS should be set to DNDD (DNDA allows the display of the originall dialed DN's name on redirected calls). |

Re: CPND for a call forward
Thanks for the reply. The assistants key 1 is programmed "key 01 SCR 1234", with 1234 being the bosses number. Assistants CLS has DNDA listed. Would it be better to have the bosses line forwarded to the assistants DN?
I also was wrong on something on the original post. I stated that "Whenever a call is placed to the bosses phone it shows up as his name, not the party who is calling". I need to correct that to read that "nothing shows up on the assistants phone except the date and time". However, when the bosses line is anwsered on the assistants phone it will then show who is calling. |

Re: CPND for a call forward
If the assistants phone has CLS set to ADD then the phone will automaticlly show the incomming call info but only for key 0 to see the info for a call on a key other then key 0 you need to have a display key that the assistant can press then press the ringing key to see the incomming call info.
That being said, if you are running RLS 23 or higher then you can set the assistants CLS to TDD and the phone will automaticlly display the incomming call info for any ringing key. |
