Paging Voice Menu in Meridian Mail?

I'm trying to create a voice menu application for Meridian Mail 13 that will provide the caller with a list of department personnel and the option to page them directly (without having to know their lengthy pager numbers). The meat of the menu is a simple series of call selections such as the following:

CL 555-1212 Tom's pager
CL 360-555-1313 Bill's pager
CL 1-800-555-1212 Frank's pager
CL 1-800-123-4567*143-4147 Joe's pager

My problem is that the first three methods work fine (a discrete phone number for each individual pager, either local or 800 #), but the fourth does not. The fourth is used for pagers where the caller dials a generic 800 number for the pager service, then has to enter a 7 digit PIN number for the specific user being paged. If I leave off the PIN number and use just the 800 number, the call goes through just fine (resulting in a prompt "Please enter the PIN number of the user you wish to page"). If I try putting a pause "*" character and then continue with a specific PIN, the call never even dials. I've tried using 0-4 pause characters with no effect.

Is there some limitation of the CL command in voice menus that prevents me from using this method for the pager service numbers? Any ways around it. I don't want to use Remote Notification to page the users, as that's not how I've been directed to make it work...

Thanks

Re: Paging Voice Menu in Meridian Mail?

For the 4th one, you might beed to resort to having the caller record a voice message in a mailbox (Choice #4 would be EM to mailbox), probably a seperate mailbox from the pager holders regular one. Then in this new mailbox, set up "outcalling" to the recipients pager, using the "service" choice.

You may want to consider this for the other recipients unless their callers already know that they are being transfered to a pager number and have the brains to enter callback numbers, etc.

Re: Paging Voice Menu in Meridian Mail?

You could try sending it to an acd ext and have night call forward send it off to a pager. I think I've done it and it worked.
