Dial 0 routing
Total newbie. Just had an Option 61C installed and we're having trouble with our "0" dialing. We have five digit dialing for phone numbers on the shipyard Centrex system (which our 61C is connected to). 476-xxxx numbers are dialed 6-xxxx, and 627-xxxx numbers are dialed 7-xxxx. All the on-switch internal dialing on the 61c is also done with five digits (all our DID's are 627-xxxx). We dial 9 to get an "outside" line (off the shipyard's Centrex). When we dial 0 we're supposed to get an on-yard operator assistance person (at a 6-xxxx number) rather than getting the carrier's operator. However, when we dial 0 (or even 9-0) we get a fast busy with a display "Release and try again" on our 3904 phones. Obviously the 0 is not being routed to the on-yard five digit number. My problem is that I've no experience yet with changing the routing tables, etc. and don't even know where to start. The bottom line is that dialing 0 should actually dial 6-1234 (not the real number) instead. How do I go about this? Thanks.

Re: Dial 0 routing
Hello,
We are seeking to perform a similiar operation on our pbx. Have you found any solution to your problem? We have yet to find anything to allow us to do this. Thank you for any assistance. :) Rich Turner |

Re: Dial 0 routing
To be able to dial your phone companies operator (9 0) you need to have "0" set up as an SPN in LD 90 and have it point to your local route.
Note: If you are not familure with BARS programming be very careful in LD 90. LD 90 REQ NEW CUST 0 (?) FEAT NET TRAN AC1 (assuming your local call access code (9) is AC1 which is the norm) TYPE SPN SPN 0 RLI (?) (this would be the RLI you use for your local calls) (if you do not know the RLI tyou can print out a local NPA or NXX to see what RLI they use) DMI (just hit return to accept the default of "0" which does not change anything) SDRR (just hit return to accept no restrictions) This will let you place calls to the phone companies operator. To be able to call "0" (internal operator). First you need to know if "0" is programmed as an attendant DN LD 20 REQ PRT TYPE DNB DN 0 if this prints out as no activity since no date then "0" is not programmed for anything and you can do one of the following: if you habe package 254 (phantom TN) you can program a phantom RN with the DN of "0" and DFCW it to the DN you want the calls to go to. If you do not have package 254 you can use ACD. Program "0" as an ACD and set NCFW to the DN you want the calls to go to. If the DN "0" prints out as "ATT" then it is programed as an atendant in LD 15. If you do not have a console (and I assume you don't since you are wanting to route calls to "0" to a different number) then you can program NIT1 in the NIT data block in LD 15 with the DN you want the calls to go to and since there is no console connected to the system it is always in night mode and all of the calls should go to the NIT1 number. Please note: all of my systems have consoles on them so i was not able to test this but it should work. |
