So I have a little disagreement with my Special Services tech.
Is DSL analog or digital? I realize that by the name it is digital. My point is that since it is over copper I assume it uses a frequency to carry data. Frequency is an analog characteristic not a digital one. The only way I could see a digital circuit on copper would be if it were simple DC current. Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me. Or tell me where I can read more. TIA

But, in the end, who really cares? Analog has come to mean slow, and digital has come to mean fast, regardless of whether those terms are always 100% correct or not. Cephas |
