IA770 to Octel?
I am HOPING that the IA770 can somehow communciate with an Octel 350 without an Interchange server.
I am getting conflicting information and it's about to get ugly. We have a S8300 with G350 being installed in Milan with IA700. We were assured by the vendor in Italy that the IA770 could network with the Octels that we have in Ireland and the US. I was just told by our Avaya reseller in the US that it cannot. What's the real answer? Is an Intuity Interchange server needed? We do have OctelNet setup between 12 systems with Aria Domain on some of them (I'm still setting the rest up).

Re: IA770 to Octel?
Sorry for the late response, but they should be able to inter-message, unfortunately it'll be in the form of a dial out. AMIS messaging is a standard across many vendors for message networking and comes enabled on both. This may be a costly solution for you across international networks.
Interchange is the other answer for you, or Message networking. The only way a 350 can do 'digital networking' is in it's proprietary 'Aria Digital Networking' which can only talk to other 250/350 and Interchange/MessageNetworking. There are plenty of other solutions out there, but that was my most direct answer to your question.
