which PBX best? For Voip?

Can anyone tell me which is the best PBX that can be used for developing a call center application
and whhich is affordable for a small company using ISDN lines and 50 agents in India.

Avaya, Nortel or siemens...?

Is PBX a necessity for VoIP based call center . If PBX is not used, how voice quality can be made better.?

I heard that BCR (Business Communication Review) http://www.bcr.com/bcrmag/ is bringing out a new test report for smaller VoIP PBX. I believe the next edition is available mid February, which is only days away. The S8300 comes with a completely integrated call center application.

I agree that the S8300 is an excellent product offering, however if you have a smaller budget the IPOffice is also an excellent choice. It offers most of the features of the S8300 plus some the definity platforms don't, at a fraction of the cost.

What exactly are you doing that you are using VoIP? H.323 trunking to North America? Home working agents with softphones? I have done a number of IP Office based call centers, including 1 completely virtual call center, plus a branch-branch scenario between Toronto and Bombay. Feel free to call or email if I can be of any assistance.

I think Avaya has the best VoIP products. However if you were wanting to develope an application for a VoIP PBX.. give www.asterisk.org a try.
