Caller ID outbound

IP 403 is working great, but I want to show the same number for all extensions going through the PRI so that all calls are seen as coming from the company and not individual extensions. Currently the system sends the 3 digit extension number to some systems ( cell phones) or "unknown plan " to others. We see the incoming caller id perfectly and the vendor- TelePacific- is not sending any extra digits.

Thanks

The way to do this is to go into shortcodes in manager and append all of the shortcodes telephone numbers with s1234567890 ( lower case s plus 10 digits that you want to substitute) that start with your dialout prefix in brackets, [9] in my case , to what they were: for example In my #[9]0n shortcode the telephone number '0N' becomes '0Ns1234567890'.. You have to do it all of the bracketed [9] codes.
Then save, merge config and all dialouts will show the number you have supplied.

That's cool, I'll have to try that. What I found worked in this situation was to simply type the number into the test number field on the Advanced tab of the PRI line form. Even though the manual says this field is for information purposes only, I found it worked to send the number I wanted. However, that may be a quirk of the particular Canadian carrier my switch was connected to. I'd be curious to know if it works for others if anyone is wililng to try it.

Anyone know of a way to send a Name?
