External calls to check VM on an embedded IPO500?
I have some customers who want a DID to dial into and check their voicemail on IP Office 500 systems using 5.0+ firmware.
Anyone have any idea how to set this up? I thought about making an ICR to a shortcode (*88) that was: *88 Voicemail Collect ? [blank] [blank] Do you think this will work? |

You could just make the DID go straight to an AA, and have the AA trasfer the "*" to the default short code for voicemail collect (*17)
Remember also, that no one will be able to acces their mailbox remotely unless you have a password set for the user. |
