Post 4400 sets

Avaya has said the 4400 set is not supported in the IP Office. Does anyone know why? I have put some on my demo unit and it works fine. We have a customer who wants the 4400 phone instead of an 2500 set. Thanks.

IPO only supports Definity handsets with displays (4406D, 4412D,4424D &4450DSS)
this is because certain functions can only be activated by selection from the display (as we found out the hard way when we accidently installed 6408's instead of 6408D)

Further Info - it is the redail function that does not work as it expects the user to select form a list on numbers in the display (which does not exist)
